'the infinity path' (2017)
linocut, charcoal, 148 x 89 cm
So this one was....interesting. Basically, this was done in my first semester of university, and I was in a pretty bad place. I hated all my units, even this one, to some extent. Yet for some reason, I still wanted to enjoy it. And I'll admit, there was that one time when I actually had fun making this.
We weren't given a whole lot of time to develop and produce the final studio assignment, 2 weeks from what I can remember. There was a lot of pressure, since most of the time was spent on learning how to use the lino printing machine, which I struggled with.
Anyway, the night before the assignment was due, I was in the process of making the last row of prints, which means I get to play with fire. Long story short. I nearly burnt my desk, since I sprayed too much cologne on the prints after I couldn't get the flame to catch. Nothing really came out of this in the end, I just passed the unit and went home. I think there was an exhibition? I don't know.
All in all, it was a waste of time. I know quite a few people enjoyed this unit, so if you happen to be one of those people reading this, then don't read this.
